Kathleen Alleaume
EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST | NUTRITIONIST | CLINICAL PILATES
Kathleen is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and postgraduate qualifications in Nutrition. After a career spanning clinical exercise physiology, preventive medicine, chronic disease prevention and nutrition, she has returned to a strong clinical focus on rehabilitation, strength and healthy ageing.
Her clinical interests include post-rehabilitation, progressive strength training, women’s health and bone health, particularly through the changes that come with midlife. She enjoys helping clients move from injury or reduced capacity to feeling stronger, more capable and confident in their everyday lives.
Kathleen has completed the Polestar Pilates Mat and Studio Rehabilitation Series, which complements her Exercise Physiology practice and has further developed her understanding of movement, control, alignment and functional exercise. She draws on these principles where appropriate, alongside evidence-based exercise prescription and progressive strength training, to help clients improve function and build capacity.
Her approach is practical, individualised and centred on functional movement, helping clients build the strength and confidence to move well in everyday life. Most importantly, Kathleen wants people to find enjoyment in movement and discover what their bodies are capable of.
Outside the clinic, Kathleen enjoys hiking, bike riding, going to the gym and being in the kitchen experimenting with her next recipe.
