Shannon graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy), First Class Honours and the University Medal. She was a junior Track and Field athlete, winning multiple Australian Championship titles (and sustaining many injuries!), which drew her towards physiotherapy from a young age.
Shannon completed her graduate year at St Vincent’s hospital, and has since worked in private practices around Sydney to solidify and broaden her musculoskeletal skills. In the sports/injury prevention space, she has published two research papers on neck strength and concussions in football and rugby players.
She is qualified in trigger point dry needling and is passionate about using movement to empower people, improve their well-being and prevent injury recurrence. She is a certified APPI Clinical Matwork and Reformer Pilates instructor and has completed additional training in foot and ankle conditions as well as APA Women’s Health Level 1.
Shannon is currently undertaking further studies in Ehlers–Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder, driven by her passion for supporting people with complex and chronic conditions.
