Tara is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist who grew up in Newcastle and completed her Bachelors of Physiotherapy with a First Class Honours. She has a strong passion for helping her patients restore their strength, movement and confidence following injury, so that they can get back to the activities that matter most to them.
Since graduating, Tara has worked in private practice where she has consolidated her musculoskeletal skills across a broad range of presentations. She has a particular interest in sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, Clinical Pilates and the management of chronic spinal pain. One of the key beliefs Tara incorporates into her practice is injury prevention, and she has published her own research paper into the factors which play a role in the development of neck pain.
Tara is qualified in dry needling and enjoys combining evidence-based manual therapy, strength training and Pilates principles to support recovery and improve movement quality. She values taking the time to understand each person’s goals in order to create individualised treatment plans tailored to their lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Tara enjoys staying active with strength-training, Pilates and boxing; as well as unwinding with beach walks and baking.
