Bara Sobrova
REFORMER PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Originally from the Czech Republic, Bara is a Pilates teacher with a lifelong background in movement and sport. She spent many years as a competitive freestyle snowboarder and taught skiing and snowboarding internationally before settling in Tamarama and completing her Pilates training with PITC.
After years of high-impact sport and multiple injuries, Bara found Pilates as a way to keep her body strong, mobile, and reliable for the long term. What began as rehabilitation for spondylolisthesis became a consistent practice and a natural transition into teaching.
“For me, Pilates is about learning how to move well, building trust with your body, and looking after it so you can keep the freedom to do what you love.”
In her classes, Bara focuses on alignment, body awareness, and smart layering of exercises so everyone can work at their own level while still being challenged. Her sessions are friendly, purposeful, and progressive, helping clients build endurance, confidence, and a deeper understanding of their bodies.
Outside the studio, Bara continues her movement education, maintains her own Pilates practice, surfs as often as possible, travels regularly, and is passionate about ocean photography.
